I believe if you click the link and are in the soundslice portal, you have an option in the lower right to transpose it. That's what I do to see it in Bb
That will sound awesome! Evan is one of my favorite contemporary early jazz players--and David sounds fantastic playing all styles. I'm really impressed with SoundSlice. I did the transcription in Finale, but exported an .mxl file. It's easy to import it, add a YouTube link (or sound file) and then sync by tapping on downbeats as the file plays.

But if that doesn't work I'm happy to send you a pdf
I heard it first in the Odetta version, but my strongest memory of the song comes from the Doc Watson version.
I found a great live version of Doc and Merle playing it. They talk about the influence of Mississippi John Hurt. They "pick it pretty" for sure!
Thanks for the wonderful history of this song which until a few minutes ago I have known only as a bluegrass song.
It's got a few different lives. There are some versions on YouTube of Doc and Merle that crush too.
this was a great read and listen, thanks, keep it coming!
Thanks for this! Love Evan and David T.’s version of this! I might learn your transcription as an arco etude.

How hard would it be to transpose it into bass clef?
